ClassKit

Clear operations for independent tutors

Terms of service for using ClassKit.

These Terms govern access to and use of ClassKit. They are written as a practical baseline for a tutor software product and should be reviewed against your final business setup.

A standard operating draft for a SaaS terms page.

This page is production-ready as a starting point, but you should still review it against your final billing model, legal entity, and jurisdiction requirements before relying on it as final counsel-approved text.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ClassKit, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of a business, school, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date. We may suspend or restrict access if account information is inaccurate, misleading, or used in a way that creates risk for the service or other users.

3. Subscription, billing, and changes

Paid features, plan limits, trial access, and billing terms may be described on the site, in-product, or in a separate order form. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may update pricing, packaging, or feature limits prospectively. If we materially change your paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice before the change applies to a renewal or new billing period.

4. Acceptable use

You may use ClassKit only for lawful business purposes related to tutoring, education support, client communication, scheduling, and associated administrative workflows.

You must not misuse the service, including by attempting unauthorized access, interfering with normal operation, uploading malicious content, infringing intellectual-property rights, or using the service to store or distribute unlawful or harmful material.

5. Customer content and data

You retain your rights in the content and data you submit to ClassKit, including client details, lesson notes, homework records, files, and scheduling information.

You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, back up, and display that content solely for operating, maintaining, and improving the service.

6. Privacy and client responsibilities

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. If you collect or upload personal information about students, parents, or other contacts, you are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and notices needed to do so.

You should not use the service to store especially sensitive information unless the product expressly supports that use and you have verified it is appropriate for your legal and regulatory obligations.

7. Availability and product changes

We work to keep ClassKit available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, security events, or third-party failures may affect availability from time to time.

We may update, improve, modify, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We will aim to avoid removing core functionality without reasonable notice where practical.

8. Intellectual property

ClassKit, including its software, design, content, branding, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during an active subscription or authorized access period.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, create security or legal risk, or use the service in a way that harms other users or the product.

On termination, your right to access the service ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassKit is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data arising from or related to your use of the service.

11. Updates to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of ClassKit after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
